TextNet, an easy and proactive way to stay informed about GVEC Internet outages. With TextNet, you can receive alerts by text message and/or email whenever there’s a widespread outage impacting your address. Once service is restored, you’ll also get a notification to let you know.

If you’re experiencing connectivity issues and want to check if you’re part of a broader outage, simply text OUT to 830.854.3316 from a phone number listed on your GVEC My Broadband account. If no outage is detected, TextNet will guide you to contact our 24/7 technical support team for further troubleshooting tailored to the issues you’re experiencing.

How to Subscribe to TextNet

If you haven’t yet signed up to receive text messages from us, it only takes a moment! Simply log in to your MyBroadband Account (MBA), go to “My Account” → “Alerts & Notifications” → “Add New Contact Method,” and select “Primary Cellphone.” Enter your phone number, confirm or edit the name and click “Add.” Multiple cellphone numbers can be added. (Data and messaging rates from your cell phone provider may apply). Stay connected to the info that matters most—quickly, conveniently, and locally.
