THE WEDDING STORY

Our style is to take a lot of pictures, so that you will have "a choice."  If you say after the wedding, "We had a hard time choosing our pictures," then we have done our job.  We want to do everything possible to get your event in forever-pictures.

Preparation

Every wedding is different. But they all have a beginning and end. And the beginning is important.  Unless the Bride and Groom are going to see each other we usually begin taking pictures 30 minutes before the ceremony.

The Ceremony

Each church has its own rules about photography, whether flash is allowed or available light. We follow those rules carefully. If the ceremony needs to be posed afterwards, it usually just takes a few minutes.

Posed Pictures

In planning your wedding, you might remember that many of your relatives might appreciate very standard kinds of group shots. We take these, but also try to include romantic, symbolic and candid photography.  But you are the boss; we are your servants.

Reception & Meal

We will follow you from the church to the hall.  Here the cake is important, and whatever refreshments you have for your guests.  It's a good time to take those small groups that were missed at the church.

Dance

If you have a dance, two shots that are important: bride and groom's first dance, and the bride dancing with her father. This is a good time to throw the garter and the bouquet.  But once these dance-opening formalities are out of the way, we usually leave for home...lest we turn into a pumpkin.
