Jesus said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and the great ones make their authority over them felt. But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave. Just so, the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many." Matthew 20:25-28
Although we have no way to weigh, measure or calculate its value, the mere act of offering one's life to God in service, is itself a service. Every prayer, every act, every step taken within the framework of this dedication draws down grace on the Body.
Besides this mystical service, our way of life provides us many opportunities for conventional service, both within our church and our community. In this corner of our Website, we concentrate on service To the local Church, a place where we have generated much Bible Study, as well as a weekly written Commentary on our Sunday Mass readings. These commentaries are normally updated week by week (Tuesday evenings), as comments in English and Spanish on the following Sunday's Mass readings will be posted.
