Welcome to my art studio. I am very humbled to place my artwork on the Internet for everyone to view. It's my hope that someone will find joy in my ceramic torsos. It is a very personal activity, an expression of my creativity, and I want to share my life's progression with you. This body of work has evolved over 13 years, and if analyzed, the viewer will see a wide range of interests. |
| The “Heart Armor” series began as an encroachment on male emotions, feelings, and thoughts. The torsos portray African American culture, Native American culture, political/societal expression, and more recently pop culture and even death. | ![]() |

This process is always intriguing: creating the mold, making ceramic forms, changing and altering the form, painting and glazing, and finally firing them. In the last stage of the cycle of creation, each piece gains acceptance for what it is. Sometimes, that is the most difficult part of the whole process! |
| This summer of 2008, I've decided to include several of my recent paintings on the website. I have found that these pieces reflect some of my thoughts of my earlier painting career. It's kind of interesting to see how my life has come full circle, from geometric color fields to the incorporation of the human figure. | ![]() |

Since 1987, I have been creating my "Texas Chili Pottery". This "craft side" of me has been developed over the years where I feel comfortable with the clay body and glaze. It is my hope that you will feel confident in my pottery, knowing it is microwaveable, dishwasher safe, and lead-free. |
