How do I change my dial-up number?Answer: To change your dial-up settings, please follow these instructions. Please confirm the the number you are changing to is a local number for your location, as we are not responsible for any long distance charges you may incur. If you need further help please contact us. If you have a "GVEC.net Internet Services" icon on your desktop you can easily change the dial-up number by using our custom interface. Otherwise, please skip down to our Dial-Up Networking instructions. 1. Double click on the "GVEC.net Internet Services" icon on your desktop. 2. Click on the "Properties" button. 3. Change the Phone number in the top text field. 4. If there is another GVEC.net number that is local for you, you may enter it as your Backup number. 5. Click the "Ok" button. 6. And log on by clicking the "Connect" button. You're done!
Dial-Up Networking Instructions If you were not able to change the number using the previous instructions, try these. 1. Double click on "My Computer" on your desktop. 2. Double click on "Dial-Up Networking" (If you are running Windows 2000, double click on "Control Panel" and then on "Network and Dial-Up Connections") 3. Right-click on the "GVEC.net Internet Services" icon and select "Properties". 4. Change the telephone number and click the "Ok" button. 5. The number has now been changed and you can log on as you normally do. |
