Tue., May 6th - 5:15 pm Children's Committee Meeting - Progressive Sunday School room.  Child care available.
Wed., May 7th - 3:30 - 5:30 pm. End of Year swimming party for all children in the church.  Meet at Lisa Gindler's, 105 S. Fair St.  No van pick up from school.  Kids will eat at Lisa's, then boys will swim at Ki Wilson's, 1720 Donovan St and girls at Lisa's.  Parents please bring cookies, brownies, or cupcakes, towels and sunscreen.  Adult must accompany children younger than 2nd gr. 2008 Medical Release must be completed before swimming. Party will be rescheduled in case of bad weather.
SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION NOW!! Deadlines approaching!!  Several to choose from.  Invite your friends to join you.   FUMC will pay 1/2 the registration fee for one camp for church members.  For more info, call 672-8521. Scholarship coupons available through the conference.  Adult Sponsors welcome to attend camps with conference training and background check.
Vacation Bible School - July 14-17 evening, God's Big Backyard, is all about service!  Start thinking about how you would like to help.  Volunteers are always needed for crafts, snacks, recreation, music, bible lessons, and crew leaders.
Text Box: With school just about out, are you looking for some fun, summer activities?  We’ve got summer camps, Vacation Bible School, and other fun activities to offer.  Plan on going bowling and to the movies, too!!
And working a couple of service projects also!!

Much like the other camps with bible lessons, swimming, crafts, and hiking, but children will focus on an area of interest in fine arts: Music (vocal), Art, Music (hand bells), or Drama.  All instruction by certified fine arts teachers.  Registration Deadline: (in church office) June 1
   JAM Camp June 29-July 3, Mt. Wesley Retreat Center, Kerrville TX
Entering 6th thru 8th grades, $225 www.reachingyouth.org; Speaker: Ryan Barnett. Worship Leader: Mark Swayze Band; CAMP HIGHLIGHTS: Energizing worship, Wild West Party (bring your hats & boots), Camo Night (bring camouflage to wear), Water Wars, ultimate frisbee, small groups, ropes course, new friends, get to know God. A good ole' traditional Mt. Wesley summer camp with a few new surprises!  Registration Deadline:  June 1 (in church office)

CAMP HIGHLIGHTS: Awesome worship, river walks, Blue Hole swims, long hikes, dodgeball, volleyball, Wild West Party (bring your hats & boots), Camo Night (bring camouflage to wear), small groups, new friends, renew your relationship with Christ. A camping experience in the outdoors and a "see God in nature" type of week.  Registration Deadline: (in church office) June 1
June 12th – 2:00-5:30pm Bowling in Seguin
July 14th-17th Vacation Bible School, evening - This year’s program, God's Big Backyard, is all about service!  Our daily themes include serving family, friends, neighbors, community, and Jesus!  Start thinking about how you would like to help out with VBS this year. Volunteers are always needed for the following positions:  crafts, snacks, recreation, music, bible lessons, crew leaders, nursery workers, etc.  See pg. 13 of this newsletter for sign-up sheet to volunteer for VBS.  Please fill out form and turn into me or the church office.
