Day #11, 331 miles, Wednesday 7/28/04
We left Rangely, CO under beautiful, sunny skies.  We spotted a fat coyote by the road and later 3 young elk, but we passed them so quickly that I didn't have time to snap a picture.
The ride was beautiful!  We took pictures at Douglas Pass at an elevation of 8240 ft.  Then we rode through Ourey, CO and on the Million Dollar Highway through Red Mountain Pass.  It was an awesome ride!

The mountains were such a beautiful color!  And there were many mine shafts all along the road.

We stopped in Silverton, CO at the Java Shack and had Smoothies.  While there we met a couple from PA, near Hershey and enjoyed visiting with them.
From there we rode to Durango, CO and then to Pagosa Springs, CO.  We had planned to ride into NM, but it was getting colder and late, so we got a room in Pagosa Springs.  We picked up some KFC chicken and went to our room to eat and watch tv.
