Day #10, 252 miles, Tuesday 7/27/04
We packed up the tent, etc, and rode 20 miles to Lori's house.  We visited with Lori & Custer while Lori made a delicious country breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, coffee and her famous homemade salsa.
We went outside for a few photos and then we headed South.

Lori & MaryAnn

It was sunny when we left Lori's house, but soon we could see bad weather ahead.
We were lucky to stay right behind the bad weather.  When we stopped at McDonalds in Evanston, we just missed their hail storm.
We hit the road again, luckily missing rain showers that were all around us.  We stopped in Manilla around 2:30 pm for gas and a short rest.  After leaving Manilla, we went up on the mountains and took pictures of the Flaming Gorge, which was beautiful.  We went up to an altitude of 8,000 ft..
Next we drove into Vernal, UT and took a picture with the dinosaur.
About 3 miles after we crossed into CO, we were in the town of Dinosaur.  We had planned to spend the night there, but it was a very small town with only 1 convenience store.  So we rode on down to Rangely and checked into the 4 Queen's Motel.
