3.  GL 1800 Magnetic Drain Plug.  The magnetic drain plug attracts and holds ferrous metal particles that circulate thru your lubricating system causing even faster wear on engine.  The constant flaking effect caused by normal wear and tear of moving parts creates metal content.  Monitoring the plug during oil changes gives you an early warning of possible engine problems that could be developing.  These magnetic plugs have been around since the 50's and are sold all over the world to automotive and heavy equipment manufacturers, motorcycle dealers, speed shops, and OE's like Toyota Forklift USA since 1987.  This accessory is being offered at the low price of only $10.00 and I'll pay the shipping*.  Prior to 2001 Honda put a magnetic drain plug in the final drive, however, on the GL 1800s they no longer do.  My mechanic highly recommends putting a magnetic drain plug in the final drive as there is a higher tendancy for metal shaving and the fact that the final drive fluids are not changed as often as the oil is changed.  Honda sells a similar magnetic drain plug for $14.95.  Drain plug fits all year model Goldwings.
