We had to force Jesse to pose for this picture!!!

Main street of Progresso was reserved for bike parking.  Bikes were parked on both sides of & in the middle of the street for several blocks.

On Saturday morning we watched the Hardly Angels perform on their motorcycles.  The group is comprised of women aged 14 to 64.

Jesse, Steve and John posed for photos with 3 of the Hardly Angels from Colorado

After seeing the Hardly Angels perform,
Bambi tried some of the moves on her bike.

There were many bikes on display at the Convention Center,
including this sewing machine bike.

At 6pm on Saturday the Memorial Parade began.  Bob and Shirley were the only members of our group to enter the parade.

Sunday morning everyone was on their own to leave the island.
Our group met by Jaws at 8am to get an early start home.

The skys were dark and ominous.

Fuel stop.  John, Jesse, Steve and Ron.

We stopped a few miles South of Raymondville to put on our rain gear.

After riding many miles in the rain, we stopped for a quick lunch.

As we neared home, some of the riders left the group to take the shortest ride home.
The 2003 South Padre Island BikeFest was a great success!   We are all looking forward to attending again next year.
