We left Nixon,  TX early Thursday morning.  We rode to San Antonio where we got on Interstate 10 and rode all day to Van Horn, TX.  We stopped there for the night after traveling 507 miles. On Friday morning I snapped this shot of Van Horn as we were leaving.

We continued on I-10 to the state line.

We rode on to Deming, NM where we met Nita and her friend, Tom. After a nice lunch we headed out across the desert on Hiway 9. We rode into Portal.  The mountain views were amazing!

Tom rode in front of us and Nita took the rear.
